A view is a virtual table or mapping of data from one or more tables. Views do not contain any data – it is just a stored query in the database that can be executed when a view is called.
1) To focus, simplify, and customize the perception each user has of the database.
2) As a security mechanism by allowing users to access data through the view, for granting the users permissions to directly access the base table.
3) To provide a compatible interface to a table whose schema has changed.
Below example will demonstrate to create view in mysql.
CREATE VIEW view_name AS
In below example i will explain a simple SQL statement to DELETE mysql views.
DROP VIEW view_name
