Hi Friends, hope you are doing good. If you are a WordPress developer or blogger and running your blog or website, then keep your close attention in this as today I am going to share how to prevent from duplicate post titles in WordPress websites.
In this tutorial, I will share the WordPress plugin which will prevent you to add duplicate post titles in your WordPress website/blogs.
The plugin will also work with your custom post types, just assume if you have created a custom post type named “books”, then it will also work for books custom post types. With the default setting of this plugin, it will check the duplicate custom post types titles. In this plugin the author created a filter
unique_title_checker_arguments which enables you to modify the WP_Query arguments used to find duplicate titles.
Download the latest version of Unique Title Checker plugins from wordpress.org directory and unzip it, then login in your website by using the FTP client and navigate to the wp-contents => Plugins folder and upload it into this folder. Now login into WordPress admin dashboard and go to the Plugins => All plugins and search “Unique Title Checker” then click on Activate button to enable the plugin features.
There are some setting screenshots of this plugin, which tells you how this plugin will work with WrodPress websites.
This is another blog post with the same title, in this case, this plugin will check for duplicate post title and notify you with the error message. See the below screenshot for error message.
