Login to your WordPress admin apnel via using your login credential and navigate to the Settings => Media Settings from the left menu. Now you can set the image size as you want. By defualt the image size is:
You can also manage the image upload folder structure like month- and year-based folders or normal. Unchecked the “Uploading Files” checkbox if you do not want to use the month- and year-based folder structures. For more information see the below screenshot:
If you want to add another custom image size, then install “Simple Image Sizes” WordPress plugin in your website. This plugin allows you to create the multiple custom image sizes as many you want as per your requirements. See the screenshot after installing this plugin:
