One of my site visitors requested to write a tutorial about What is the difference between white box testing and black box testing? so that in this tutorial, I am going to share the major differences.

It is also known as clear box testing, glass box testing, transparent box testing, and structural testing. White Box Testing is a method of software testing in which the software tester tests the internal structure/ design/ implementation of software OR web applications.

It is very complex to test that’s why the software tester should have to knowledge of programming, database, and implementation.

There are three levels of White Box Testing:

  • Unit testing
  • Integration testing
  • Regression testing

Black Box Testing

Black Box Testing

Black box testing is another method of software testing. It is also known as Behavioral Testing, in which the software tester tests the internal structure/ design/ implementation of web applications OR System Software.

There are three levels of Black Box Testing:

  • Integration Testing
  • System Testing
  • Acceptance Testing
