What is MySQL TRIGGERS?

The MySQL trigger is a database object that is associated with a table. It will be activated when a defined action is executed for the table. MySQL supports triggers that are invoked in response to the INSERTUPDATE or DELETE event.

There are six triggers are allowed in MySQL table. Following are the six triggers are allowed in MySQL table.

  • BEFORE INSERT
  • AFTER INSERT
  • BEFORE UPDATE
  • AFTER UPDATE
  • BEFORE DELETE and
  • AFTER DELETE
